Here is a room that has been every color in the rainbow..starting with yellow, bunkbeds and tweety bird... Boy has it seen it's changes in the years..

It's maturing right along with Kaylee...I'm a bit sad cause it's almost a grown up room...

Does anyone recognize that little black table?

She has also gone through her share of desk and computers. She use to get our old stuff. Now she has her own laptop... I have a mix matched set ... that's the joys of being a Mom... you know what Im talking about!

Letters from Hobby Lobby covered in paper..

She didnt want a headboard so we made this with some paper and that black foam board from Walmart

Did you catch a glimpse of that tassel?

It was hanging from her fan but we moved it somewhere way better...

Remember that old $4.oo mirror that was U*G*L*Y... Yep.. She got it....

Some of my Blogger friends that go way back may remember these... They are wooden chandeliers.... Very neat!

These curtains came from Hobby Lobby...1/2 off I might add.

I think a tassel looks great in this space....

So here ya have it friends... Kaylee's room. Guess I better go and kill myself cleaning another room for yall to see tommorow.. Smiles... Susie h~
Wow I love it! Such great style, what a lucky girl. She has a nicer room than me! Can I move in? :) Love those curtains they are simply Fabulous!

Another lovely room, do they ever end? I agree with Rachel, she has a nicer bedroom than me! Very fortunate young lady to have a Mother with such great decorating style. Your house is beautiful, each room has been a treat to see!
ReplyDeleteI eyed those curtains and am kicking myself for not snagging them! They look fab!
Kzylee's room is great. That black and white is so sophisticated, but fun at the same time. Great for the young lady she is becoming. Great project ideas! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteHer room is absolutely gorgeous!!! You have a beautiful home!!!! I love that K done like that....ok you know my next question how did you cover it with scrapbook paper?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky girl! I love black damask, too, come see my room and see. I think I might have you make a custom tassel for me for it, when I think of a good place to put it:)
ReplyDeleteI love the headboard, too, that is so creative and economical, too, I am guessing...I have never scrapbooked, but I might have to start!
I wish I had a Hobby Lobby near by!
Great shots Susie! I love the way you take 'crooked' photos...looks like something from a magazine.
ReplyDeleteMaybe sometime you could post how you did the letters?
I enjoy your blog...lots of wonderful ideas!
Wow, it's beautiful. She obviously has great taste like her mother.
ReplyDeleteI love the wall art.

I love it! I want a room like that. She's a lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteHi girlfriend! I'm back. I forgot to post that I was leaving for vacation. I know everyone thinks I fell off the face of the earth. My husband and I took our first "alone" vacation in 15 years. We had a ball. And the week before last we had family from all over the U.S. at our home for a reunion. I'll post as soon as I get laundry done and the house clean. My OCD is definately kicking in this week. I love the room you did, I am in the process of decorating my youngest daughters room in black and white damask with hot pink and light pink and chandeliers so my question is how did you do those chandeliers? They look great. I have seen your tassels all over blogland I am so happy for you. I am glad to see you using your God given talent. Missed you, Paula
ReplyDeleteMorning, Susie! I love Kaylee's room - so elegant and really shows your little girl is growing up. I just adore that fabric and have seen that print on many things - even some dishes! Yes, I love those tassels and those cute wooden chadies!
ReplyDeleteYour home is just beautiful and so very clean! I need to do that - I should not have read your last paragraph! Now I'm feeling guilty - clean the bathroom, change the sheets, wash the clothes. I may just go back to bed!! lol
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Wow...very sophistocated...(it's eary...can't spell). I love the simplicity.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great room. I love the fabric! Jen R

Love it, Susie! That's a great teen room. I didn't realize Hobby Lobby sold curtain panels. What a find those were at 1/2 price. I love their sales. And I love the 6 prints with the scrapbook paper added to them. Great look for a big wall. You did great!
ReplyDeleteRhoda

Your daughter's room is so grown up and Audry Hepburnish. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis whole blogging/picture taking thing does require a lot of cleaning doesn't it? I guess we could call it a downside or an upside.

I love the pattern on those curtains! Nice job with her room. I had to make my daughter Kyler's room more sophisticated as she grew up too. I should share those pic's.

Love that room. Such fun items make it feel totally whimsical. Where did you get those fun chandeliers? I'm decorating my niece's room (black, white and grey blue) and those would go great in there. Also, how long ago did you get those curtains from Hobby Lobby?
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white. Everything looks beautiful and so put together. Do you ever take custom orders for your tassels?
ReplyDeleteSarah
So cute!!! That is the PERFECT room for a teenager!! Love it! I love the tassel hanging on the rod too!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful room for a young lady. I love all the black and white going on. I had black and white with yellow as a teen (it was the 70's) and absolutely loved it.

Don't kill yourself cleaning! or we won't be able to finish the home tour.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's room looks beautiful! It makes me wish that my only daughter wasn't all grown up and married! Why do they have to grow up so fast?!?
Susie, this is a great room! Love it!
ReplyDeletePat
Ok-I found your blog through a friend and now I am hooked!! I went all the way back to April-just so I could see what other fun ideas you came up with. You my dear, are one talented little lady! You have got an eye! You have got style and your daughter is one lucky girl to have the room that she has. Does she know this? Super cuTE! I have one question though-does her cloeset still look the same? I am pretty sure that is what all teenager girls closets are supposed to look like!
ReplyDeletePlease, stop by and say hi! Can't wait to see what you post tomorrow!
Oh I love it. And I love the idea for the headboard. I have been wracking my brain for something for my daughter and how ingenious this is. Oh and I wish we had Hobby Lobby here. I have to wait to visit my sister in Dallas to get my fix. I even emailed them asking if they had plans to come up my way. No such luck. Boo hoo. Anyway, the room looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's room is so gorgeous! It came out fantastic. You did an excellent job. The black and white is so fresh.

Hi Susie! That room looks gorgeous! I'm really impressed that your daughter has such elegant taste! I guess she must get that from you! I do remember those chandeliers, so cute!
ReplyDeleteSo, I hate to be a pest, but I see that I missed the crown tassels again, so I'm wondering if you'll be doing more crowns and if I can make a custom request?
Kaylee's room is gorgeous! It's perfect for a young lady with style.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love seeing the beautifully decorated rooms in your home.
ilove her room. so elegant!
ReplyDeleteEvery room is amazing! Love the black and white! Can you come help me with my house...please!?!
ReplyDeleteKim
Love all that black and white!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great room! Boys (at least mine) don't appreciate the well appointed room like girls do!
ReplyDeleteCan I ask where you got the bedding? My daughter wants black/white damsk.
ReplyDeleteAlso what color are the walls? The look tan in one picture, blue in another, and green in some.
I've come across your blog and I've enjoyed reading it. I have to say, I think this is one of my favorite rooms. Makes me want to redo my daughters, but she's only three and she won't let take away the pink. LOL. You house is beautiful though!!!
ReplyDeleteAntoinette :)
I have been looking for curatins EXACTLY like that for my kitchen and can't find them!! Did you get them recently?? I am so excited to know that they do exist! I love your blog - great style!
