The brightest room in the house....

No searching for a tassel today...He makes sure he is seen by everyone. Of course these change daily while Im making them. He happens to be my favorite today. He's in the shop too. Ok enough chatter about tassels... On with the tour!

This room gets the most sun and all the action. This is where all of those tassels are born...

This wall hold's one of my favorite things...pictures of my Maw Maws old house...

Im always hanging different junk on it!

Did you see that cabinet.. remember that find from Kmart..

I did finally fill her up..

With strawberries...

and fruit and cool finds from the Goodwill

You know I have to have at least one nest in the bunch...

This jar came from my Maw Maws house. She kept rice in it. I dont drink but asked a local resturant for their corks.. I love them... Yes.. I will be making some tassels out of those babies...

One grass ball....

Never enough ribbon...

This is for your garden but I like to think outside the box...

I made this grass... blade by blade... sure you remember that post!

I did have some checked curtains and loved them dearly but it was just too heavy for the summer. I found these at Bed and Beyond... 1/2 off..smile...

Have you seen enough pictures???

One more for the road... See you in the kitchen..

I can't believe, well, yes, I can, that you change your curtains for the seasons! I am just trying to work on getting 'something' on my windows....let alone 2 or more somethings!!! You are amazing!!!

  5. Good Morning Miz Susie, I love your dining room! I seriously think we would be best shopping/crafting/thrifting buddies if we lived closer to each other! Love your stash of ribbon tucked away in your cabinet. And the grass ball, I drool over those but haven't snapped one up yet. Love your wall picture knob thingy too, it's so sweet to see pictures of your Maw Maw's displayed. I love the sepia tones in them, looks fab. And using her rice jar to hold corks is so simple but briliant! I wonder if my corks would look good in my apothocary jar in the dining room? What do you think? I have such issues with filling and displaying that jar! HELP!

I have loved each room you've shared and your entire home is lovely and elegant just like you. Hard to believe a family lives there it's so pretty, they must be well trained. My guys can destroy my efforts in about 10 minutes flat with discarded shoes, dishes, hats, etc, but your home looks visitor ready in a moment's notice. Beautiful, simply beautiful!

  7. I love the color and all the pretties in this room...

great idea about asking the resturant for the corks...we have a gameroom outside and I wanted to do the bar top in corks...we don't drink enough wine either to save for as many as it would take...thanks for that idea!

  9. I love the pineapple! I've been wanting one for my home. I told my husband that it is the sign for hospitality. He said, "no it's not, it's for Hawaii."

  15. Oh you HAD to pull out the rooster tassel didn't you? I love him. I may break down and buy one yet! I'm worried I'll buy one and need more. That could get pricey!

I've been to Kmart twice since you posted about that cabinet. My scary Kmart didn't have any...but I still kept checking. I love, love, love what you did with it.

I'm getting worried for the time when you run out of rooms to photograph.

  21. Hey :-)
If you see on the top(left side) on my blog, you can translate the language from norwegian. It`s not the best translation you can get I`m afraid, and som of the words will still be in norwegian. But I hope it can make it a bit easier for you to understand .-)

    Have a nice afternooon :-)

Oh, and I don't mind at all. I'll trade you my snake for your tassle. Well, it's OK, I am not picky, I'll trade it for the pineapple, Fleur de Lis pic, or even the crystal knobs. Your choice.:)

I also liked how you have things that belonged to your grandmother. To me, that's one thing that makes a house a home. I have some things that were passed onto me and I treasure them.
