I took a walk on the wild side last night. Many of you that know me well..it's not like me. Im the safe one, no taken risk for me. Well things change and I did. My neighbor called last night and informed me that the green house up the street threw poor sweet plants in the dumpster. I had to save them! It's not stealin' if they pitched them out, right? Neighbor and I jumped into back of sons truck, he drove. Pulled up to the dumpster and hit the motherload! Plants were flyin' and I was so giddy. Was it the plants that made my heart flutter... or was it the pure adrenalin that flowed so shamelessly through my body. Have I no shame? My husband just added one more check to things "He" would never do and cant believe I did. What you see is only half of our stash. Neighbor took her share home. Now I can say " I dumpster dove". Girlfriend, I am SO proud of you! I would have been right there along with you! Poor, precious plants...I feel like they have life and you did the right thing with your rescue! LOL! Way to go! ~Rhonda ;)
And don't worry about the husband, I get that all the time, but secretly, I think that is why they love us so...we keep life interesting! LOL! Life's an adventure!
I really wish I could have been there to dumpster dive along side you! I'm so jealous!
I have actually asked the guy at the nursery if I could have the plants that they had just thrown away. He gave me the strangest look, but let me have them. I think that it would have been a lot more fun just to take them "on the sly" like you did.

That is to funny. I have not done that one yet but there's always a first time for everything.
I have thought about it but never had a sidekick that would be willing to do that with me.

I would have done the same thing! Be careful though- once you start that dumpster diving it is hard to shake- gets addictive! My husband still gets shocked when I do things like that. You would think after this long he wouldn't be shocked by anything coming from me!!
