For the love of white dishes...

So many of you have shared your wonderful collection of pretty white dishes. I too am a (fanatic) collector of anything white. Can you believe that all of my collection came from thrift stores, garage sales, and the beloved Goodwill. It makes collecting all the more fun! Anyone can go to a department store and fill their passion. If I had an unlimited budget I would be one of those. For now I will enjoy the thrill of the hunt and save my darling pennies.

  1. Love white dishes! Love saving pennies! Love the photos!

  2. I love white dishes too - so easy to set a table for any occasion around them! I love that light fixture in your kitchen!

  3. My love affair with white dishes began when I worked in the china, crystal, silver department at a May Company store in the early 80's. I took advantage of employee discounts, whenever possible. When J and I were married. My friends and coworkers went together and bought several place settings of Mikasa French Countryside as a wedding gift. Since then I've added to them from garage sales, resale shops and outlets. I keep saying I'll stop buying them, then along comes a pretty piece and there I go again! I don't think I'll ever fall out of love with my white dishes.

    Your white dishes are beautiful!

  4. If you had an unlimited budget , then collecting them would not be fun anymore...MISS

  10. I really appreciate your comments. Thanks for visiting.
You just need to think creatively when it comes to a fake grass plant. I found the cute tin planters, then bought bunches of plastic grass. I used my trusty glue gun, styrofoam and moss to make my one of a kind grass planter. And it cost less than buying the ready made ones.
Check in the silk floral department for the grass bunches. I've seen it at Micheal's Crafts. Good Luck!

  11. I love white dishes too! Actually I am just dish obsessed but especially white dishes! They are so versatile and can go from a BBQ to a formal dinner and take on whatever mood they are placed in! I enjoyed seeing all of your pictures. I have been having a difficult time dressing the area above my cabinets and you have given me inspiration! Thank You!!
