Done, well almost done...

Rembember when...

Well here she is DONE! well almost that is. We have a few touch ups of paint yet to do but I couldnt wait to show yall

Have you ever wanted to see the inside of a house so bad you peeped in the window? Im guilty... It was a model home of course. So now you wont think too bad of me, smile

I still have to glue the little door knocker on. Her door knobs even have little keys. How cute is that... (they were not included)

Front porch I wish I had...

Now comes the fun part

As you can see Maddy has started moving in already.

This was not included but we just had to have it. Oh.. I mean Maddy needed it. It even lights up...(when we figure out how it works)

Hope yall enjoyed our "little tour". We will have to save up some pennies before we start on the indside but thats ok. the fun is worth the wait.

  1. Oooo My Gosh! I love it! So stinkin' cute! You did a fabulous job putting it together, the porch looks fantastic too. I'm totally loving this house...wonder if I could send you mine when I find it? LOL What a lucky lucky little girl you have! And the best part is the project was shared together and she got to see first hand that her Momma is pretty amazing and can do anything! I know ya'll will spend many happy hours and create many more happy memories over your little house. How sweet!

  2. How BEAUTIFUL! I am so envious. Campbell & Caroline would absolutely love Maddie's dollhouse. The pink that you used is scrumptious! And of course what's a dining room without a "real" chandelier? Job well done.

  4. Oh my word! I would have died for a dollhouse like that when I was a kid. Wait. I think I still would.

Love it! Can't wait to see how it's decorated!

  5. What a great house!! You did such an awesome job on it!! I feel guilty my "house" is still in a giant box in the garage. I must have $1000 worth of dollhouse and accessories in that box! :oX

By the way...the movie Sex and the City WAS very, very good. I cried. A few times. But I cry at dog food commercials, so that's not saying a lot.

  6. Oh!!! I want one!! :) Whenever I get pregnant I hope I have a girl so I can do this! :) I might even if I have a boy!! So cute! I used to buy that stuff for a dollhouse when I was little but I didn't have one. I just liked all the mini stuff. My favorite was a tall gumball machine. :) This looks so great!!

  13. I love it! One question, will Barbies fit?? You can't really buy a Barbie house anymore and now that I look at it, it sure would look grand with a couple of Barbies hanging out, lol.

  14. Oh wow! That is AWESOME! It's sad when a doll house is better looking than my real house. LOL

  15. I have to echo Kimba's statement. I would have loved one of those when I was little (and still would, I think...I could try out all my ideas in miniature before doing them in real life). I think my favorite part is the chandelier! I hope you get it working!

  21. I can't believe how fast you finished it! I LOVE it - especially the chandelier. I can't wait to do one of these with Ella.

I remember the first time I visited my MIL's house after we were married. We stayed in his sister's old room and on the dresser was a huge doll house that his mom and sister built together. I thought it was so neat that she was saving it for when her daughter had kids.

  32. I have always wanted to do this for my girls! My grandparents made a dollhouse for me and my sister, and we played with it for hours. What a treasure to keep in the family!

  34. Ok, I'm looking back through your archives and when I saw the part that you said, "have you ever wanted to peek into a window of a house..." I had to laugh.

My mom and I did just that to a house that was supposed to be abandoned due to banruptcy.....such a cute little house complete w/ the wrap around porch....garage shaped like a barn...and RED.

Well, while I am peeking into a window, I had my mom check to see if the door was locked.....she turned the knob and it TURNED....the door was stuck, so she PUSHED.

As the door shook open, a SNAKE fell out and WRAPPED AROUND HER ARM!!!! I kid you NOT!

Funny thing was, I am the only one that saw this.....she was so focused on me SCREAMING that she had NO CLUE this snake was now making a bracelet around HER ARM!

Once she realized that I was serious....she just started screaming and stomping and it shook the snake off....now, she STILL HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS A SNAKE. She was just freaking out because I WAS FREAKING OUT!

Finally, when things calmed down, the snakes was just a traumatized...and was on the ground w/ his little head in the attack position....yet FROZEN....I think with FEAR....and HE WAS BETWEEN US AND THE DOOR.

I'm embarrassed to say that we left the door open and didn't get to look into the house.....LOL.

Ok, don't tell anyone about this....it might embarrass the poor snake....lol.

    I love the doll house!!!
